Telemarketing Our telemarketing team has generated more than 1,000 leads leads during the last 12 months. Our Team’s only focus is the application software industry where they have been working together for five years. Our focused efforts permit the team to understand our clients’ market place to achieve a significantly higher level of results than traditional telemarketing services.
A lead is defined as a business opportunity in the SIC Code and Revenue Range specified by the Client’s List, where the suspect organization indicates pain and discomfort with their existing application solution. The suspect must indicate a willingness to discuss their pain and possible solutions with a business consultant. The suspect company can either be actively engaged in the software selection process or contemplating a change in the future.
Our historical results, during the last 12 months, show that our team generates approximately one lead for each four hours of telemarketing. For example, 100 hours of telemarketing typically generates 25 leads. One-third of the leads generated are companies that are in an active software selection process or will enter the process shortly. These are companies in process of purchasing with in a 9 month timeframe. The next group of leads, one-third, are opportunities with a buy time of 9 to 18 months. These leads are ripe for farming and marketing activities and eventually become active opportunities engaged in the software selection process. The final one-third of leads are disqualified by the Account Executive for a variety of reasons. Approximately 10 percent of the leads provided convert to a sale with in a 24 month period. Under current market conditions, sales take 6 to 9 months from the time the prospect enters the sales cycle to close. Effective telemarketing campaigns should be consistent and run for at least six months with 40 to 80 hours per month. Given the length of the sales cycle, it is unlikely to close sales in less than 6 months. In the following 6 month period, however, several opportunities should convert to sales.
Dollar for Dollar telemarketing represents the most effective approach to lead generation. The results speak for themselves, a properly executed telemarketing program generates results.
